Responsibilities:
We are seeking an experienced Internal Audit and Consulting Specialist. You will be part of our audit staff with high visibility to the Company's Senior Financial Executives and Board of Directors. Responsibilities include:
30% - Performing and supporting GenCorps Financial & Operational Audits- Corporate, Aerospace & Defense and Real Estate Segments. Operational Reviews: Identifying, Assessing, developing audit programs and testing key controls and developing and supporting process improvements. Process Reviews: Evaluating developing audit programs and testing specific activities for best practices and improvements. Performing and supporting the investigation of Questionable Activities/ Fraud.
25% - Supporting the Companys compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act including evaluating design, monitoring and testing key controls identified by management.
20% - Performing procedures that will be relied upon by the Companys external auditor in rendering an opinion on the Companys internal controls and financial statements.
10% - Supporting the Development of Company Accounting Policies and Procedures. Responding to and supporting GenCorp Chief Financial Officer requests associated with Special Projects/ Accounting initiatives. Supporting Merger, Acquisition and Divesture initiatives
8% - Financial Statement reviews: Primarily addressing balance sheet accounts for completeness, accuracy and compliance with US GAAP.
7% - Government Compliance Audits: Performing Government compliance reviews for specific activities and programs.
Qualifications:
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors degree in Accounting and at least 10 years of progressive financial and operational experience in a manufacturing environment. CPA, CIA, CISA or MBA preferred. Experience with Information Technology and automated audit techniques (e.g., SQL, Sampling Software) preferred. Government contracting experience a plus. Requires travel of 25-30% annually to perform audits primarily in Redmond, WA; Gainesville, VA; Camden, AR; and Jonesborough, TN.

PC, phone, fax, copier and other standard office equipment.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level (requires U.S. Citizenship).
