Job Overview:
At Aerojet, our employees help further the exploration of space! We develop and manufacture rocket engines in our Redmond, Washington location that are used on satellites, space probes and the Space Shuttle. If you are an experienced procurement professional with an interest in space, we are currently looking for a SUBCONTRACT ADMINISTRATOR to join our Procurement team.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will work closely with suppliers, other buyers, engineers, and program teams to ensure part availability to meet customer demand. The candidate will ensure all work product is in compliance with regulatory, engineering and quality requirements to attain mission success.
70% - Write and analyze supplier plans and proposals and negotiate outcomes. Document purchasing decisions, including but not limited to, RFQ's and price justifications for major components. Support proposals, development and production programs.
30% - Create and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers.
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:

Qualifications:
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Business (or related field) and at least 6 years of directly related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The willingness and ability to travel up to 30% is needed. Must be team-oriented, display leadership and possess excellent written and oral communication skills. Experience purchasing in an ERP environment preferred, along with familiarity with MRP. Ability to understand and evaluate pricing, costs, and changes to terms and conditions as it relates to component acquisition. Supply chain experience with a demonstrated understanding and ability to apply the principles, concepts, and practices. Familiarity with FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations) and other government contract requirements a plus. Requires U.S. Citizenship, U.S. Permanent Residency, or other status as a U.S. Person.
