Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each):
60% Under direction of engineer the technician will support and perform rocket motor build up from case preparation to final assembly for development and qualification efforts.
20% Mixing - The Technician will need to standardize new lot sets of materials for all current programs, and make mixes for all new programs that we may acquire.The Technician is responsible for requisitioning material for upcoming mixes.
10% Casting- The Technician will build up batch check motors for all mixes for pre-cast, de-tool batch checks after cure, clean tooling and build up batch checks for rocket test.
5% Mathematical - The Technician is required to perform mathematical problems, such as, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. The mathematical problems will be performed on all mix sheets. The Technician is required to make out ATIS sheets on all batch check motors sent to rocket test.
5% Other duties as assigned- The Technician will perform other duties as assigned to assist in meeting production schedules.
Requirements:
Typically requires a technical Associate's degree with concentration in engineering and physical science and 5-6 years of directly related engineering technical support experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have thorough knowledge of practices and procedures in area of assignment. Must be able to execute a complex sequence of operations in a field where standard procedures are available, but changing conditions occasionally require independent action. Ability to perform engineering mathematical calculations as required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level(requires U.S. Citizenship).
