Overview:
Performs trouble-shooting, maintenance, installation, and design of all types of electronic equipment and electronic controls with limited supervision. Works closely with other maintenance personnel when required to help them trouble shoot equipment other than just electronics. Must be knowledgeable of various PLC systems and how to program them, Programs/modifies computer software as needed. Works on electronic systems like 11 MEV x-ray machines, computerized lathes, real time x-ray systems, programmable temperature controllers, and computer controlled and automated assembly processes.
Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each):
1. Design electronic controls.(5%)
2. Install, trouble-shoot, repair, and maintain electronic equipment.(40%)
3. Assist in the calibration of plant equipment.(20%)
4. Read, understand, modify, and draw electronic and electrical schematics of plant equipment.(10%)
5. Read, understand, modify, and program in various PLC languages (Gould-Modicon, GE Fanuc, Siemens, Allen-Bradley, ECT.)(5%)
6. Collects, records, and analyzes data and presents in report format.(5%)
7. Reviews designs or specifications for adequacy. (5%)
8. May supervise lower level skilled craftsmen, technicians, or production workers on special assignments. (5%)
9. Perform other related duties as assigned. (5%)

Requirements:
High School or equivalent and Associate Degree in electronics or equivalent education and two
years of related experiences (may include education). Must be familiar in various programming
PLC languages and computer data collection. Should have a working knowledge of mechanical
equipment like pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and refrigeration equipment. Should have a
working knowledge of x-ray type equipment.
