The position requires some professional judgment and a limited use and/or application of basic principles theories and concepts.\n\n25% Conduct chemical testing as required for new and production chemicals/propellants.\n\n50% Under supervision, oversee the development and characterization of new propellants, including performing routine mathematical calculations, preparing formulations, reviewing and analyzing test data.\n\n20% Review manufacturing data for trend analysis and interface with manufacturing engineers.\n\n5% Complete laboratory notebooks and write reports to document findings in approved format.\nRequirements:\nThis position requires a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Chemistry or an appropriate science or an equivalent combination of education and experience.  Must have an understanding of the use of process and analytical equipment pertinent to the appropriate application of skills. A demonstrated ability to effectively communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing is required. This position may require the use of chemical laboratory process and test equipment, and specialized analytical equipment. Basic computer knowledge in Excel, Power Point and Word.
