Overview:
Will be working under minimal supervision to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance using manufacturer publications, blueprints, schematics and locally generated instructions. Must be familiar with OSHA and NEC standards. Will be required to follow work procedures, work on facilities and production equipment, as well as perform general maintenance. Manufacturing background preferred.
Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each):
50%- Mechanical Maintenance- Work with, troubleshoot and repair production equipment and facilities equipment. Perform Preventive Maintenance on production equipment (mixers, grinders, etc.) as well as production support equipment (compressors, vacuum pumps, etc.).
30%- Cross train into other shop disciplines including building equipment, general welding and millwright activities.
10%- General shop upkeep, cleaning, or organizing.
10% - Installation of new equipment.
Requirements:
High school graduate or equivalent plus at least 5 years of directly related experience. Training from a trade school or college is a plus. Strong Mechanical experience/training in one of the following, Machinist-mechanic, auto mechanic, general mechanic background required.
Must have own required tools to perform normal maintenance duties. Continued education in a maintenance discipline and cross training into other disciplines within the department will be required. Must be available to work any shift, weekends, holidays and be on call as required. Must be very safety and environmentally conscious.
Requires U.S. Citizenship, U.S. Permanent Residency, or other status as a U.S. Person.
