Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each):
60% - Inspects tools, dies, jigs and fixtures, templates, patterns, cutting tools, and fabricated machine tools used in missile manufacturing. Participates as required in product process auditing through hardware/data verification and Statistical Process Control (SPC) verification activities.
40% - Makes the set-ups and performs the necessary work operation to inspect tooling, including tool masters, jibs, machine fixtures, machine dies and inspection check fixtures. Makes calculations necessary to layout work involving coordinated locating points, irregular contours, and compilation of compound angles. May use handling devices on units and operate handling equipment to position parts for inspection. Prepare documentation where required. Affixes appropriate stamps and related tags to items inspected.
SECONDARY JOB FUNCTIONS:
Develop and apply new and advanced methods to meet new or unusual requirements. Keep current within area of specialty in support of projects.
Requirements:
High school graduate or equivalent and four (4) years experience in tool inspection practices and procedures, and in tool fabrication assembly and installation; or related experience commensurate with the work requirements indicated. U.S. Citizenship, Permanent Residency or other status as a U.S. Person required.
