Overview:
This position is an integral member of Aerojet’s Missile Defense Systems team. This position is to support the Manager of Programs in the leadership of integrated product teams to support the propellant tank and/or PTS production efforts on the Exoatmospheric Kill Vehicle (EKV) Divert and Attitude Controls (DACS) program within Aerojet’s Missile Defense organization. This position will interact with several integrated product teams for EKV DACS propellant tanks and PTS comprised of members from engineering, quality, procurement, contract, pricing & estimating, manufacturing, and test.
Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each):
50 % - Responsible for technical, cost and schedule performance of the Exoatmospheric Kill Vehicle (EKV)Divert and Attitude Controls (DACS) propellant tank and PTS production. May be assigned responsibility to simultaneously manage several other efforts within the EKV DACS program, which may have a significant impact on product line strategic success. This could include the potential for offshoots of DACS or propulsion systems to support emerging missile defense opportunities. Advises and leads program team in the resolution of technical and operational problems based on specific goals, Aerojet policy and meeting established schedules. Provides imaginative, thorough and practicable solutions to a wide range of operating problems. Assures proactive risk mitigation measures are employed. Provides direction in problem investigations and resolution across functional areas.

35 % - Primary Aerojet Lead on proposal activity for any follow-on efforts, or changes to existing scope, or add scope tasks as request by the customer.

10 % - Primary Aerojet interface with Raytheon customer, inter-organizational managers and suppliers on program matters.

5 % - Manages resources to meet commitments and objectives. Submits and administers operational budgets and schedules. Responsible for input to preparation for product business plans such as the Annual Operating Plan or Strategic Plan.

Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree and seven (7) years directly related experience in an appropriate discipline/science or equivalent combination of education and experience are required. An advanced degree is preferred. Experience in liquid DAC systems preferred. Strong commitment to do whatever is necessary to accomplish the job is essential. Travel may be required to maintain program communication. Also requires demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation skills necessary to lead a program team. This position requires a working knowledge of project management within the framework of the Project Management Institute including Project Planning, Project Control (Earned Value), Project Execution, Communication, Procurement, and Quality (PMP certification or Project Management certified). Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level (requires U.S. Citizenship).
