Overview:
Under general supervision and following established policies, performs professional engineering assignments requiring full use and application of standard engineering principles, theories, concepts and techniques - as an Instrumentation and Controls engineer.
Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each):
75% - Functioning as an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer for Test Operations, employee will be responsible for specification, calibration and data reduction/validation of measurement and controls systems. Set-up, operation and maintenance of data acquisition equipment and systems used throughout the Test Operations facilities. Design instruments, controls system and network interfaces as required to support testing.

10% - Employee will be responsible for updating, modifying and writing software code for data acquisition and control functions for the data acquisition and control systems. Primary languages include C++, Fortran, Visual Basic and Lab View.

10% - Employee to provide test planning and support; generate checklists/procedures; provide or support CERs, TRRs, PFMEA, PSM, JSA, etc.

5% - Employee to provide technical guidance/training to support personnel.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Science or related science discipline.
Two (2) years of directly related technical experience in Instrumentation and Controls engineering, or an equivalent combination of directly applicable education and experience.
Must have experience and knowledge on measurement and data acquisition, signal conditioning and calibration; computer interfaces and network communications.
Must be able to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair instrumentation/network problems.
Must possess desire and willingness to work closely with peers and subordinates.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level (requires U.S. Citizenship).
