Overview:

Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each):
75%: Manages the day to day activities of the Material Quality Assurance group. This may include but is not limited to activities such as providing direction to subordinates by assigning MQE’s to support programs and interface with Program office and SC/MM to establish contractual priorities and assign personnel to meet those requirements.
Manage the day to day activities of the field personnel including the coordination of priorities with internal customers. Manage field office budgets, logistics, and coordinating the continuing education for personnel with NDE certifications. Activities include being the primary interface with PMO & SC/MM to establish priorities.
Responsible for maintaining department’s fiscal and commitment management system by participating in budget/salary planning and Strategic Initiatives/Key Objectives planning. Will perform personnel performance evaluations in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
25%: Act a lead or support MQE on programs as required. Work with Procurement and Engineering to identify, select and develop subcontractors.
Approve purchase requisitions; provide quality flow-down requirements. Communicates product and quality requirements to the Material Quality Assurance Field engineers. Supports procured hardware documentation and acceptance review activities including logbook reviews. Work with the suppliers and Aerojet in problem resolutions including the initiation and closure of root cause and corrective/preventative action.
Secondary responsibilities include:
Support management by participating in proposal activities as requested/required
Maintain staffing levels proportional to program needs and budgets.
Requirements:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and seven (7) years directly related experience in an appropriate discipline/science or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Requires directly related and progressively responsible technical experience in order to provide effective supervision for activities within defined scope of responsibility. Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level (requires U.S. Citizenship).
