Overview:
Under general direction, the Senior Quality Engineer performs quality engineering assignments requiring a wide application of advanced principles, theories and concepts in the field plus a working knowledge of other related disciplines. This position provides imaginative, thorough and practicable solutions to a wide range of technical problems with the use of quality engineering techniques. Depending the Senior Quality Engineer may provide technical guidance to less senior quality engineers and inspectors.
Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each):
50% Participates in the preparation for and presentation of final sell-off and acceptance of hardware by the customer through the Hardware Acceptance Review (HAR) process.Creates, coordinates and presents program metrics.Creates, reviews, verifies and maintains First Article Inspection (FAI) plans and reports.Participates in nonconforming material control and the Material Review Board (MRB) processes.Participates in cause and corrective action activities, failure investigations and special projects assigned in support Corrective/Preventive Action Committees (CACs/PACs) and other management board activities.
25% Coordinates Material Review Board (MRB) activities through the disposition, corrective action and approval processes which may include coordination with customer representatives.
25% Develops projects and presentations to address quality concerns, metrics, improvement activities, and progress in resolving quality issues
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in an appropriate science and five (5) years of related technical experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
All positions require possession of a valid drivers license.
